A daily life suspended between toil and beauty, between ancient rituals and simple gestures, revealing a world that seems distant but, in reality, still belongs to us. All this is captured in the 40 photographs by Carlo Deflorian , former commander of the State Forestry Corps station in Corteno and now retired, collected in the exhibition " Guardian and Witness ," which will be hosted at the "Golgi" Museum in Corteno Golgi from August 2nd to 31st. The exhibition is promoted by the Moniga Photo Club , which returns to Alta Val Camonica with a new exhibition celebrating the evocative power of photography as a tool of memory and testimony.
"Guardian and Witness" is, above all, a project to enhance the visual heritage of the mountains, curated by Mauro Delai, president of the Moniga Photo Club, and Antonella Calvi. The exhibition also includes a catalog, enriched by a preface by Luisa Bondoni, a photography historian and critic, who believes Deflorian's photographs convey fragments of a simple and authentic humanity.
